I'm a Santa Barbara photographer who believes your day should feel like you.

Sure, you are basically starring in your own movie for the day, but no one’s expecting you to transform into an actor or model at the drop of a hat. That’s why I have a huge focus on guiding my clients with prompts nudging you in the right direction where needed.

Photography has been a lifelong thing for me. I got my first camera — a hot pink point-and-shoot — in elementary school, and I've been hooked ever since. I talked my high school friends into modeling for me, ran my college photo club, and now get to spend my days photographing weddings, elopements, and couples all across California.

I've never met a coastal sunset, funky small town, or national park I didn't love. But more than any of that, I'm inspired by the people I get to work with. I love hearing my clients' stories, and I'm still regularly floored by the cool people this job has introduced me to.

I bring that same instinct into how I photograph people: paying attention, staying present, and making sure you feel like yourself in front of the camera.

From the moment you inquire, to the moment your gallery lands in your inbox, I want the whole experience to feel as beaut as the photos look. Nothing too forced, no making you repeat the dress zip-up to get the shot, simply paying attention to where the good light sits, and what memories to capture along the way.

Life things that fuel my soul

Thrifting

I am constantly on the hunt for a good vintage find, whether that’s a great piece of home decor, an old camera, or something I absolutely did not need but had to bring home. There’s something about digging through a rack of questionable clothes and finding the one perfect thing that scratches an oddly specific itch in my brain.

Travel

Give me a city to wander, a museum to get lost in, and something delicious to eat. I love traveling somewhere that offers a little bit of everything. Great food and culture, beautiful architecture, and somewhere to escape into nature when I need a break from the city. Catch me on a plane to Iceland after my next wedding season ends!

Junie and Jasper

You might hear them in the background of our calls, playing with toys or reminding me that dinner is overdue. After a long wedding, I’m always happy to come home to two very enthusiastic greeters and a couch full of cuddles.

How I love to spend a day with Patrick, my partner

Patrick might make a guest appearance at your proposal or engagement session as my favorite unpaid assistant (paid exclusively in yummy dinners and sweet treats). When we’re not working, we’re spending time with our pets, making a dinner to share with friends, or trying to determine once and for all which Santa Barbara coffee shop deserves the top spot. Our current favorite spot is Caje (specifically the one on Haley St.)
